illtuned started as a single webpage that I could showcase my personal vehicles and builds. The Project Showcase is my personal attempt at showing my current builds. At some point I hope to show the past projects I've done. But, for now it's all the current rides.
Lots of Celicas from on and off-road rally, a couple of Land Crusiers, Z33 track toy and Bippu ride thrown in for good measure. While my love for the Japanese vehicle is strong, my heart is focused more on Toyota cars and trucks. The Z, is certainly the oddball, (although it's the premier oddball) of the bunch.
2010 Objective
In 2010, we will be offering the trackside view of motor sports. From auto X to the circuit, photos, videos and more. On and off-road. We will also be expanding the lineup and adding some new TEAM members.
Will illtuned rise up and go platinum? Will the VDS launch? What does this mean?
TEAM update
~ The March TEAM update is coming soon.. (and will even out the odds.. but not by much)
~ For the first time illtuned goes German! But, what you ask is better than one german car? Two German cars, ah ah ah.. !
Janauary's addition goes to Matt Reiner with his new Wolfsburg Jetta! His February German counter is a 1999 Rotrex powered M Coupe owned by Chris Longo!
Project updates
4x4 Pickup is having a bit of trouble running on 20 year old varnish..
~ new oil filters (yes, two!), air filter, fuel filter, & Optima battery - and.. it's loaded up with Amsoil..
~ new plugs going in with more fresh fuel in the now empty fuel tank..
FJ Cruiser has a Misfire (P0302) on Cyl. #2.. d'oh!
~ four of the new shoes are here! The other two are being made? ..
~ MAF Sliders getting installed with a TRD Quickshifter!
~ BajaRack LightBar with new LightForce lights in the future??
Land Cruiser will be getting prepped for some Trail use. Having another truck ready will take the load off of the FJ. TRD Wheels and YH tires will be swapped over to the 80 from the FJ..
~ remove stock steps, flares; move spare tire
Celsior will most likely be stored until it's ready for paint and have the Junction Product kit and Wald wing installed. Junction produce interior goodies can be installed along with removing the deck lid for Celsior & JP emblems. (Priority, low)
ZZT Celica 2ZZ-GE rebuild in the works.
Celica (I) awaiting 3rd gen engine install and will be brought back to the illtuned Garage for final assembly.
