Let the building begin!!!

OME Front Suspension upgrade

quick and simple..

The OME (614) front springs will effectively level the Tundra with 2.5"-3" of lift with appropriate weight. W/o the weight 3.25-3.5".

The Bilstein shocks will come off in favor of some Old Man Emu Nitrochargers. Later down the road I'll complete the Old Man Emu kit with some Dakar rear springs and OME N193 Shocks.

Old Man Emu spring data:

612 light (up to 150 lb.)
614 heavy (5.7 V8 with up to 175lb of constant load or 4.6/4.7 V8 with 200+ lb. constant load)
613 heavy (5.7 V8 with 200+ lb. constant load)

OME 614 are 20mm taller than the OEM springs and are 740lb./ft rather than 680lb./ft.

TRD Air Filter and 'Intake Flow Accelerator'

The TRD Air Filter will do nothing for power, but let's me re-use an air filter for quite some time and possibly gain some additional gas mileage. It should also make a subtle sound improvement. (edit- no sound, plenty of MPG improvement) I'll be adding the TRD 'IFA' to the install that comes with the TRD Cold Air Intake. For me the TRD CAI is too much $ for little gain. But the TRD 'IFA' should add a smidgen more airflow with the TRD Air Filter..

Too small to be measured or felt.. Being able to clean it and possibly add a few mpg is what I'm after here.

*EDIT- MPG def. has increased. over a half a tank I'm seeing almost 2mpg more city driving. More so on the highway. The charcoal filter 'fell out' when I was installing so perhaps that is why. :)

Doug Thorley Headers and TRD (aftermarket) exhaust

WHILE I CURRENTLY HAVE NO PLANS ON SWAPPING OUT THE FACTORY HEADERS AND EXHAUST>>>

The factory exhaust manifolds and exhaust system are where the extra bit of cheap power is at. Or, where the restrictions can be found. A TRD exhaust (like most aftermarket exhaust) will add 3-5whp over OEM. While Doug Thorley Headers show gains of 26whp and 46ft/lbs of torque - an excellent value!

TRD Exhaust (or other) $800, +3-5whp

Doug Thorley Headers $635 (once as low as $450!), +26whp and 46ft/lbs

I will most likely just improve the sound with some Flowmaster Super 40's ..

MPG ++

Mileage has improved since installing the TRD air filter and associated parts. For just over $75 I now have a reusable (cleanable) filter and another 2+ MPG. :) Not bad considering it was 13/19 stock. Now I'm seeing almost 14-15 / 20+ in just over a half of a tank. And I'm still driving it like I stole it from time to time..

A little armor was ordered...

Can you price me out just the IFA? Any update after the charcoal canister fell out?
