PTR0334079 TRD FLOW ACCELATO V8
MSRP $18.33
iG price $13.22

SH $10

It is spec'd for the 5.7 . It's just a simple 'velocity stack' that replaces the oe version feeding air from the fender area to the intake box. nothing special. :)

Left, OE (4")
RIght, TRD (6")
(NOT MY PICTURE!)

MPG def. increased. +1.5 mpg (mostly city) over 24gallons

Don't think that will work with the 4.0. Thanks for the pic as I knew they were cheap enough to give a shot and I thought it may have been a similar set up. I'll fab something up. Just thought I could save some time.

No worries, jon!! If it were me, I'd fab up a Safari Snorkel.. the best IFA out there!

I just didn't want to hack up the Tundra and melt a 200 Series Snorkel to her yet.. :)

^ Geolandar A/T-S 315/70 (34.6")

EDIT - scratch that... A/T-S are impossible to come by in 315/70-17.. So , I opted for:

^ 35x12.50 M/T+

Installed the OME front coils and struts tonight. The results? Perfect. As expected. ;)

OME Dakar rear leafs and Nitrocharger shocks to come later to complete the kit.

Installed the ARB Sahara bar & fogs today. Excellent fit and finish.

A HUGE thanks to Jon and Dave for stopping out and getting things done professionally. We even read the directions. ;)

I'll take some pictures tomorrow in the daylight. Still need to finish up some small bits.

Well, the rubber WAS ordered... but good 'ol Discount Tire sold me tires they didn't have in stock... Thanks DT! I haven't used them in years and figured I've give them another chance... :axechase:

With NO ETA in sight... I am reconsidering my options. I believe the next logical choice for me is a 35x12.50 Geolandar M/T+. Tire Rack has them in stock but they are a bit more expensive than the A/T-S. ($188 vs. $255)

However, they are 2 lb lighters. (61 vs. 63). So with the addition of the RW Wheels and M/T+ tires, I'll only increase the wheel and tire combination overall weight +4 lb per corner.

I'm still not sure yet. I wanted to go with the A/T-S on the Tundra. But, perhaps this can be an eye opener for folks who underestimate the road characteristics and longevity of the M/T+ Geolandar. I figure I will at least get 30,000 miles. My goal is to potentially see 40,000+ miles. The A/T-S is good for that and then some. Tradeoffs.. Everything has them. The M/T+ is a kick ass tire.... me thinks I'm going this route...

To be continued...

I ended up ordering the M/T+ in 35x12.50. Should be here next week. I'll keep the 18" TRD and BFG A/T for long distance if needed. I believe I will take this time to powder coat the TRD 18" wheels Matte Black.
